Senior Projects
I recently finished my Senior Project by working with a group of five to construct a fully functional website, film and edit a promotional video, and design and print a pamphlet of the organization known as Common Bonds through IHC. Our project lasted two semesters long (about 9 months). As far as the website goes, we chose to implement a Joomla! 1.5 web content management system. Our client had a blogspot previously and it was difficult to have her information, calendar, and blogs presented in a professional manor. So by creating a CMS for her to use, we were able to exceed her expectations and also implement a donate button. This one project alone has taught me what is expected and required to be a web developer in the work force. I have learned a lot and gained a lot of skills from working together with my team of developers.
Digital Motion Picture Essentials
This course at Utah Valley University taught me the principles of cinematography. It also gave me hands-on experience from directing, producing, pre-production, production, and post production. I definitely have a greater knowledge and appreciation for what truly goes into movie magic. From filming to lighting and everything in between, I certainly have learned a lot.
Web Graphics Applications
"The King VS. The Thing"
This was my final project in my Web Graphics Applications class. It consisted mostly of Photoshop, Illustrator, and basic XHTML and CSS coding. For this project, I had to photoshop 2 light sabers every frame for both characters (24 frames per second). Not only did I learn amazing techniques and skills for creating graphics in various formats, I also learned effective and professional web design.
Immersive Authoring - "Livestream Media"
This class is designed to teach students to be on the cutting edge of technology. We would analyze and apply technology into our studies through out the semester. Our main project that I was assigned to was the Livestream Media group. I was a beta tester for Livestream Media and specialized in the video broadcasting part of our group. This class has prepared me for the work force.
