Project management is a key element when it comes to digital media. Without it money and time are wasted, projects are left incomplete, and teams fall apart. That's why the Digital Media program focuses heavily on management. I have worked on countless projects and scenarios in all of my classes. I know what it takes to be a leader and to work together as a team. One of the greatest tools that I have applied into my projects is using gantt charts. By doing this, we all began with the end in mind, stayed on track, and achieved our goals with our delivered outcome by the desired date. It was a definite life lesson that I have applied to many areas of my life of being truly organized.
I am also taking classes through The Center for the Advancement of Leadership (CAL) at Utah Valley University. I am really enjoying my classes and I am learning and applying the skills necessary to grow as a leader, work together as a team, and prepare myself for the work force in the near future.
