Digital media seems to be constantly surrounding us in the day that we live. It seems that the world is gradually evolving to mostly mobile media platforms for entertainment. From music to movies and games to podcasts, the list is endless. One of the reasons why I love the Digital Media program is because Utah Valley University is on the cutting edge of technology. They know and realize that the content your viewing on your iPod, may be completely different on other platforms such as the Zune. We now have to design our websites to be compatible with mobile devices through different style sheets.
Through the many different projects I've completed, I have had experience with authoring music, movies, audiobooks, podcasts, RSS, and countless other forms of media. One of the most important and crucial lessons I have learned from my classes is to have efficient and useful meta data. It was a fun and challenging process to go through to author media on many different media platforms for entertaining content. But I know it will benefit me with my future career.
